Al Dhafra tabs Pape Diop, ex Douanes

Pape Diop

Al Dhafra (ULB) inked 27-year old Senegalese 204cm power forward Pape Diop (college: SE Louisiana, agency: One Motive Sports) for upcoming season. Diop played this summer at Douanes in Senegalese N1M league. In three Basketball Africa League games he averaged .0ppg and 1.0rpg. He also played for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon in Mexican CIBACOPA where in 14 games he had 9.6ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.4apg.
Diop has played previously professionally in Georgia (Tbilisi State University) and France (Toulouse). 
Diop graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2021 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. He played also for Chipola College for one year.
